Tour the Airstream
We purchased our 29-foot 1971 Airstream Ambassador in March 2006. We have the double-bed floor plan with a rear bathroom. You enter the trailer into the living/dining/kitchen area. The living room features a pullout sofa bed (gaucho) and credenza with integrated drop-down dining table. We have kept the original 8-track entertainment system, but lack 8-tracks.
The galley kitchen has a refrigerator, 4-burner range, wall oven, pantry, and double sink. All this within four linear feet.
Our model has the full-size bed option, just past the kitchen with a dresser and a closet tall enough to stand in. The bathroom is in the rear and has a shower, sink, and toilet
The aluminum cladding and structure allow the Airstream to be much lighter than comparatively-sized trailers. Its iconic shape reduces wind resistance while towing.
